Kippure Estate Outdoor Education Centre

Hello and welcome to Kippure Estate. Our dedicated outdoor education department offers courses and workshops in geography and ecology field studies as well as outdoor experiential learning, team building and outdoor activity days.

Only 45 minutes from Dublin's city centre and within easy reach of the N11 and N81 our team of trained instructors carry out field studies in keeping with the Irish Department of Education and Science syllabus. In particular we run the river study for Leaving Certificate Geography students. This study can also be of great educational value to other students interested in examining rivers, from Primary students, right up through Second Level. We also carry out an Ecology study in our Oak woodland in keeping with the syllabus for the Leaving Certificate examination.

Younger students enjoy our nature walks through the woods learning about the living world around them. It gives them a chance to explore and discover new things in a safe and secure location.  With 240 acres of land there is plenty of space to explore and discover the natural flora and fauna of the Wicklow uplands.

These activity days can also include outdoor adventure experiences on our High and Low Ropes course, Orienteering, Treasure Hunts and Scavenger Hunts. All together they make for a very exciting and educational day for all abilities … a must for school tours and school trips.

In addition we also cater for team building and team training groups, providing the ideas, location, adventure activities and most definitely the ‘wow factor’.
